1. Introduction
inkwell (“inkwell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a free multi-game trading card game price analytics platform operated by Inkwell Markets LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use inkwell.gg (the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address — used for account identification, price alerts, and communications
- Display name — displayed on your public profile if you choose to make it visible
- OAuth credentials — if you sign in with Google or Discord, we receive your name and email from that provider. We do not receive your password.
Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect:
- Usage data — pages you visit, features you use, time spent on the platform
- Log data — IP address, browser type, referring URLs, and error reports
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6 (Cookies)
Information You Generate
When you use inkwell features, we store:
- Portfolio positions — cards you add to your portfolio and purchase prices you enter
- Watchlist items — cards you choose to track
- Price alert preferences — target prices and notification settings
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Send price alerts and other transactional emails you request
- Send service announcements and updates (you may opt out)
- Analyze usage to improve the platform
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information to:
- Sell or rent your data to third parties
- Build advertising profiles tied to your identity
- Make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share your information only with the following service providers who help us operate the platform, each bound by confidentiality obligations:

All Users
- Access — Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — Request that we correct inaccurate personal information
- Deletion — Request that we delete your account and associated personal information
- Data portability — Request your data in a portable format

Colorado Residents (Colorado Privacy Act)
If you are a Colorado resident, you have additional rights under the Colorado Privacy Act (C.R.S. § 6-1-1301 et seq.), including:
- The right to opt out of targeted advertising
- The right to opt out of profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects
- The right to appeal our decisions regarding your privacy requests
We will respond to your request within 45 days. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.

Universal Opt-Out: We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as an opt-out of targeted advertising.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale of personal information. inkwell does not sell personal information.You may submit a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request to support@inkwell.gg, though such a request has no practical effect because we do not sell or share data for advertising targeting purposes.
European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contractual necessity — to provide the Service you have signed up for
- Legitimate interests — for analytics and service improvement
- Consent — for non-essential cookies and marketing communications
You have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@inkwell.gg.
Data you submit is stored on servers in the United States. Transfers from the EEA to the US are made pursuant to standard contractual clauses established by our service providers (Supabase, Vercel).

When you first visit inkwell, we will present you with a cookie consent banner. Your preference is stored for 12 months. You may change your preference at any time via the cookie settings link in our footer.
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal for opt-out of advertising cookies.
7. Children's Privacy
inkwell is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at support@inkwell.gg and we will delete it promptly.
Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age.
8. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes.
Price alert history and portfolio data are deleted immediately upon account deletion. Aggregate analytics data (which contains no personal information) may be retained indefinitely.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
- Row-level security on all database tables (each user can only access their own data)
- OAuth-based authentication (passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth, never stored in plaintext)
No security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of your information, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable two-factor authentication where available.
10. Third-Party Links
inkwell contains affiliate links to third-party retailers (TCGPlayer, eBay, Card Kingdom). When you click these links, you leave inkwell and are subject to the privacy policies of those third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
11. Google Advertising
inkwell uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to inkwell and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads or by using the NAI opt-out tool.

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, if the changes are significant, notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the Service.
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
