Constructed Meta Snapshot — Gundam Card Game
Edition Beta cards are still absolutely dominating the high-end market, with Wing Gundam leading the pack at nearly $5k. The format's getting more expensive as sealed product continues to dry up, but we're seeing some interesting shifts in promotional cards this week.
Top Staples
Wing Gundam (LR+) (Edition Beta) — $4999.99 The undisputed king of the format. This card defines entire archetypes and basically every competitive Wing build runs it as a 3-of.
Overflowing Affection (U+) (Edition Beta) — $3166.66 The most expensive uncommon in the game for good reason. This support card enables so many combos that it's become format-warping.
Gundam Aerial (R+) (Edition Beta) — $1975.00 Still the backbone of Aerial decks after all these months. The power level on this thing is just nuts for what it enables.
Gundam (LR+) (Edition Beta) — $1744.66 The OG Gundam isn't going anywhere. Classic control builds and several combo decks rely on this as their win condition.
Heero Yuy (Championship Finalist Card 01) — $1450.00 Promo pilots are getting wild, and this one's tournament restrictions make it incredibly scarce. Only championship finalists have copies.
Movers This Week
Big Winner: Gundam (LR+) (Starter Deck 01: Heroic Beginnings) jumped to $155.32, up over 100%. People finally realized this budget alternative to the Edition Beta version actually has some unique interactions that make it worth running in certain builds.
Edition Beta holding strong with the main Gundam LR+ up 4.9% to $1744.66 and Dual Impact cases climbing 5.1% to $1230.18. Supply is just getting tighter every week.
Promotional products are all over the place. The GQuuuuuuX display went up 35% to $134.96, but the actual GQuuuuuuX card crashed 81.5% to $58.44. Looks like people want the sealed product but not the singles.
Suletta Mercury took a beating across all printings. The Edition Beta version dropped 19.3% to $789.79, while the Starter Deck printing fell 89.3% to just $22.75. Maybe the Aerial pilot hype is finally cooling off.
Resource tokens got hammered with both RP-003 and RP-004 dropping around 79% to $28. These promotional tokens were way overpriced anyway, so this correction makes sense.
What to Watch
Keep an eye on those promotional card collections - the cases are moving but singles are tanking, which suggests people are either holding sealed or the cards aren't performing as expected. Next week should tell us if that GQuuuuuuX crash was an overreaction or if the card really isn't living up to the hype.
