Constructed Meta Snapshot — Gundam Card Game
The Constructed format is still a high-roller's game this week, with Wing Gundam leading the charge at nearly $5000. Beta edition cards continue to dominate the top slots, while we're seeing some wild swings in the mid-tier market.
Top Staples
Wing Gundam (LR+) - $4999.99: Still the crown jewel of Constructed. This Beta LR+ is the ultimate win condition and shows no signs of losing its throne.
Overflowing Affection (U+) - $3166.66: The most expensive support card in the game right now. Essential combo piece that enables some of the format's strongest plays.
Gundam Aerial (R+) - $1975.00: Beta's premier mid-range threat. Solid stats and versatility make this a 4-of in most competitive decks.
Heero Yuy (Championship Finalist) - $1450.00: Tournament promo that's become a format staple. Limited supply keeps the price climbing on this powerful pilot.
Amuro Ray (Regional Championship) - $1100.00: Another promo pilot that's proven essential. The synergy with classic UC suits makes this a must-have.
Movers This Week
The biggest story is cards correcting after what looks like a data glitch. GFreD dropped nearly 48% to $377, while a bunch of Steel Requiem and promotional cards crashed hard with those suspicious 96-99% drops. Looks like pricing data got weird rather than actual market movement.
On the upside, Suletta Mercury from Starter Deck 01 doubled to $22 - probably people realizing the budget version still does work. The starter deck Gundam also jumped 67% to $155, which makes sense as more players look for affordable alternatives to the Beta version.
Most of the other "gainers" with 100%+ increases are just pricing corrections on cheap cards. When a card goes from $0.05 to $0.11, that's technically a huge percentage but doesn't mean much for your wallet.
What to Watch
Keep an eye on whether those Steel Requiem cards actually crashed or if it's just bad data - that'll tell us if there's real market movement happening. The starter deck alternatives gaining steam could signal players are getting priced out of Beta cards and looking for budget options.
